appearance Upon first look, it is glaringly obvious that Aurelie is half-elezen, half-hyur. With a stature far closer to a Midlander, but with slender, tipped ears, there's no mistaking her mixed blood. Blessed with thick, silky hair, the crimson strands fall nearly to her knees, often entwined with silvery jewelry and little resin blooms, or are bound up in complicated coiffures. Her fair skin is usually flushed a healthy, rosy red at her cheeks and the tips of her ears, which are pierced in multiple places. The little half-elf is soft-bodied and feminine, with a generous bosom and lush, curvy hips, all wrapped in the finest silks and chiffons when she occupies center stage.
Demeanor Aurelie is a woman of two faces. The first, darling of the Luminis Opera House in Limsa Lominsa, who has quickly become a renowned lyric soprano known across the star. The 'Lost Siren of Luminis' is sweet, humble and friendly to fans and strangers alike. The second face she bears is much darker and far more familiar to her: a pragmatic woman fueled by rage, grief and hatred, and obsessed with revenge for the murders of her family by the Inquisition of Ishgard.

History
Aurelie - then known as Genevieve, was the youngest daughter of House Dieudonné, one of the larger, more wealthy and respected Houses in Ishgard with strong connections to the Church, with many of her family and ancestors having served in a variety of roles. Maintaining an excellent relationship to the Church had been a practice for generations, for one important reason: access. While not heretics, House Dieudonné was sympathetic to those falsely-accused as being so and had long operated a network smuggling victims out from under the nose of Inquisitors and to various safe spaces.Until the day of Genevieve's tenth birthday. They were in the midst of the fanciest of parties, with the entire family and many friends present, when the Inquisition and a contingent of Temple Knights stormed the estate grounds. Someone had sold them out and she and her entire family were taken into custody. There was a swift, damning trial and a few days spent in the gentle care of the Inquisitors being questioned about those who had aided and abetted them.It was a bright, cold, clear morning when the family was brought to the Witchdrop. It had been decreed that any member of the family over the age of majority was to be thrown from the cliff. Genevieve, being only ten, was the sole member of her family to survive that day. Made to witness as - from youngest to oldest - her siblings and beloved parents were, one by one, shoved off the edge, their screams from that day still haunt her nightmares. The family's considerable assets were seized by the Church, the estate razed to the ground and the name Dieudonné was publicly shamed and disgraced.The Church granted custody of Genevieve to a Cardinal, an older man by the name of Achault Reausoix, with the expectation that he would... re-educate her, crushing the seeds of heretical belief and behavior her family had all too clearly planted in her mind and re-routing the course of her life to become a devout Sister of Halone. Achault was strict to the point of cruelty, forcing her to memorize and recite Scripture from the Enchiridion every morning and night, serve in the Church as a cleaning maid and attend every Mass. She tried multiple times to run away but was always caught and returned, locked away in her room.She hated him. She hated the Church. She hated Halone.When she was sixteen, she finally managed to get away successfully, leaving Ishgard and indeed Coerthas, entirely. Stowing away aboard a ship bound for Vylbrand, she landed in Limsa Lominsa, penniless and alone. Lucky for her, she quickly discovered a talent for thievery and pickpocketing that granted her membership into the Thieves' Guild. She was taught how to fight, how to move in the crowds unseen, how to disguise herself, all while having her natural gifts honed.One day, she was sitting on the beach, singing to herself as she often did, when a Roegadyn woman overheard her. The Roe was an older, retired ship's captain named Marmbryda who had founded the Luminus Opera House, a famed concert hall across the star. Immediately recognizing the potential of Genevieve's voice, she approached and offered to train her as a lyric soprano. It didn't take her long to agree, so she gave the woman a fake name - Aurelie Callais - and left the Thieves' Guild for the Luminis. For years, the half-elf was rigorously trained and eventually became a renown Lyric Soprano, known for her light, bright, sweet voice. She quickly acquired a devoted following, was often cast as the lead in the largest productions, with a fanciful story that she was a lost Siren.She was the darling of the opera house, but in her heart, she nursed a deep, dark hatred for the Ishgardian Church that eventually drove her to leave The Luminis - though still remaining close with Marmbryda - and return to Ishgard, hiding her past and making a living singing for private, wealthy audiences, while plotting ways to get her revenge.
